Determining when you exchange the springs on your trampoline is very case-specific and is influenced by the amount of use, the weight of the jumpers and possible winter snow loads.
Usually when there is a decrease in the quality of bounce from a trampoline it is due to the fact that the springs are stretched. The trampoline mat itself does not actually stretch. A stretched spring is identified by the fact that it feels loose when you bend it or if the springs are not tightly coiled. If the springs are stretched or rusted, we recommend replacing those springs with new ones. The length of the spring is measured "from hook to hook" when it is not tensioned. Please note that the length can be affected if the spring is stretched.
Please note that none of our springs are designed to be placed in a crossed manner, as it can stretch the springs faster and damage the trampoline mat fasteners and the frame. Our warranty does not cover crossed springs.
